When making a 4 shot espresso you have just enough water left to steam your milk and most often, not enough -- I have to fill the boiler up past the recommended level to ensure enough steam will be produced to froth the milk The design of the carafe leaves a lot to be desired as poring a little to fast or a little to slow leaves quite a mess on the counter or floor -- with some practice, we have almost got the correct technique -- sometimes hard to master on those sleepy mornings -- NOT a good way to start the dayAlso, trying to get anything other than your coffee cup under the frothing arm is impossible, creating another messI would probably not buy another one of these machines or recommend it to a friendAfter all the fuss -- it makes a good cup
I got this a while ago. It performed well for when I had it and I would of loved to keep it. For X-Mas someone gave us a Kitchenaid coffee maker so we replaced it, but for the time we had it it performed very well.
This was exactly what we were looking for in one machine. It's very easy to use and the espresso and coffe taste great.
The machine does not come with an espresso tamper, so you have to purchase one. Really like that the coffee side water reservoir can be removed for cleaning.
The pot does spill coffee when pouring. Over all we are pleased with this coffee maker.
Not the worst thing, yet it sure would be nice to have a clean pour. we are trying our best to pour slowly into the cup, but still encounter spillage.
To be honest, we've yet to own a coffee pot that does not have spillage when pouring. The machine makes good coffee and espresso drinks.
Glad we found this value for money machine.
Never had a problem w/ the old Mr. My wife has figured out how to make it do everything, so no regrets. But, as someone else pointed out, extra care needs to be taken when pouring from the carafe. In the first week I spilled coffee 3 times. Coffee. Also, this unit takes at least 3x the amount of time to make the same amount of coffee as the old Mr. C.
